The Blessed Sacrament Parent Teacher Organization is a not-for-profit, Catholic, Christian-based, volunteer effort within the school community that promotes the interaction of parents, teachers, parish and community. The main goal of the organization is to enrich the students' lives and aid them in achieving their educational objectives. This goal will be met through the Catholic, Christian community in action - through prayer, facilitation of an open dialog between parents and school staff and financial assistance from the organization.

The PTO is committed to assisting Blessed Sacrament achieve the highest quality education possible for all students. Many of our opportunities to help our school are listed below. Come to our PTO Meetings to find out more about these and other ways to volunteer.

Opportunities to Help Our School

School Carnival
The School Carnival is part of the Annual Parish Festival. It has games, bouncy houses, food and a silent basket auction.

SCRIP
The SCRIP program is the primary fundraising tool used by the PTO. Gift cards for a variety of vendors may be ordered weekly and the PTO earns a percentage of each card value. Orders are placed on Mondays and cards are delivered on Fridays. You may link to the SCRIP form to purchase.

Box Tops for Education
Box Tops for Education are collected from participating food containers and are redeemed for 10 cents per box top. Funds are allocated to the general budget. Collection forms for monthly contests are available.

Back to School Pool Party
The Back to School Pool Party is held the first Saturday of August to kick off the new school year. It is a great way to reconnect with friends after the busy summer.

Golf Outing
The Golf Outing is held the third Friday of August at Pine Lakes Country Club.

Used Uniform Sale
The Used Uniform Sale is held in conjunction with school registration. Gently used school uniforms are available to purchase.

Book Fair
The book fair is held in early October. Students can preview books and return later in the week to purchase. The Parish is welcome to attend on Sunday. Our School Library gets the majority of its funding from the Book Fair. The last few years we have used Blue Ribbon Book Fairs.

Library
Kindergarten – 5th grade go to Library weekly. 6th, 7th & 8th are given the opportunity to use our Library during Computer Class; they may also come in before and after school. We are in need of parents to help with checking out books, helping students find age-appropriate books, checking in and shelving books that have been returned.

Staff Appreciation

Parent-Teacher Conferences
Dinner for parent-teacher conferences in the fall, the PTO provides a lunch/dinner for the staff to enjoy.

Christmas Gifts
At Christmas, monetary donations are taken toward school wide gifts for the staff. This includes teachers, administrators, and all support staff.
