BSS Spanish Program
All K-8 students receive Spanish language instruction at BSS. The BSS Spanish program is delivered by a native Spanish speaker and is designed to offer grade appropriate lessons organized by topics familiar to students. Grammar concepts and vocabulary are emphasized and reinforced through Spanish language games, plays, songs, cultural projects and Catholic prayers. BSS junior high school level students utilize the textbook series “Avancemos”. This program utilizes multimedia audio and visual materials to present captivating topics and develop interpersonal communication skills in Spanish language. The coursework is intended to motivate BSS students to develop language skills and set a foundation to prepare them for Spanish language placement testing at the high school level.
