SmartArt

Learn, Explore, Grow!  That is what the Kindergarten through eighth grade students at Blessed Sacrament School has accomplished through their first three years of SmartArt.  The SmartArt Program was developed to enhance the students’ artistic process, with a goal of benefitting the students academically, socially, spiritually, and emotionally.

The SmartArt Program is a volunteer-based program which focuses on six elements of art, including color, value, line, shape, texture, and form.  Each age group has learned to identify a variety of core vocabulary and explore art using multiple mediums in their monthly lessons.  The age groups each compliment each others’ lessons, while utilizing works of art built in the young artists’ confidence while enriching the core curriculum at Blessed Sacrament.

As you enter the hallways of Blessed Sacrament School, you will get a chance to see the artistic work, of all of our students, as it is displayed monthly.  SmartArt has been a blessing for all of our students as it has truly enriched their artistic abilities.
